The story of environmental degradation in Albiate\u2014illegal dumping, climate change, and reforestation\u2014began in 2006.<\/p>\n

First came the task of clearing the area of illegal waste, followed by the effort to plant a woodland.
But reforestation starts with preserving what already exists. In this area, there are rows of poplar trees.<\/p>\n

These poplars die and are replanted every year, and this has been happening for at least four years.
As an alternative, we suggested replacing the poplars with other species, such as linden trees. However, the Parco della Valle del Lambro<\/strong> insisted that the old rows be replaced exclusively with poplars.<\/p>\n

So that\u2019s what we\u2019re doing: we have cut down 11 poplars and will replant them in autumn\u2014again with poplars.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, we\u2019ve consulted a professional to design a plan that meets the Park\u2019s requirements.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
