{"id":68612,"date":"2026-04-29T17:01:44","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T15:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fondazioneguidovenosta.org\/en\/?p=68612"},"modified":"2026-04-29T17:01:44","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T15:01:44","slug":"diary-of-my-disasters-a-theatre-and-comic-writing-project-for-adolescents-in-milans-public-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fondazioneguidovenosta.org\/en\/diary-of-my-disasters-a-theatre-and-comic-writing-project-for-adolescents-in-milans-public-schools\/","title":{"rendered":"Diary of My Disasters: a theatre and comic writing project for adolescents in Milan\u2019s public schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>The project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is a superpower that allows us to lighten the tangled knot of anxieties, insecurities and discomfort: humour.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Diary of My Disasters<\/strong>\u00a0is an educational and theatrical project created by\u00a0<strong>Centro Formazione Supereroi (CFS)<\/strong>, a non-profit association of writing professionals founded in 2016 with the mission of promoting writing as a tool for expression and personal growth among young people.<\/p>\n<p>The programme involved around 250 boys and girls aged 14 to 18 from 10 classes in Milan\u2019s public schools.<\/p>\n<p>Through comic writing workshops held from October to May by professionals in comedy and storytelling \u2014 including Francesco Arienzo and Veronica Pinelli \u2014 the students learned to use self-irony as a creative and relational tool: a way to rework experiences, insecurities and the small and large dramas of everyday life.<\/p>\n<p>The texts produced during the workshops were collected in the volume\u00a0<strong>Survival Manual for Aspiring Adults<\/strong>, distributed on the day of the final performance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The final performance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On 18 April 2026, the Main Hall of\u00a0<strong>Teatro Franco Parenti<\/strong>\u00a0hosted the final performance: an event open to the whole city, bringing together theatre, writing and adolescence.<\/p>\n<p>It was concrete proof that humour can become a language for facing the world with lightness, courage and awareness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why Fondazione Guido Venosta chose to support this project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At a time when young people are exposed to growing pressures, offering expressive tools such as writing and theatre is a concrete act of care.<\/p>\n<p>The project reaches students from a variety of school contexts, with particular attention to situations of greater vulnerability, making art and culture accessible to those who need it most.<\/p>\n<p>Below are some images from the\u00a0<strong>Liceo Artistico Statale di Brera<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221;
