Economic support for free psychotherapy sessions for poor families for one year in Milan, in collaboration with Minotauro

When 2021 - 2022 - 2023 Involved Institutions Minotauro

Objectives and activities carried out, in summary

Fondazione Guido Venosta funded free psychotherapy sessions throughout 2021 for 125 economically disadvantaged families with adolescents facing severe crises (self-harm, suicidal behaviors, isolation, and depression) at Minotauro, a cooperative active in Milan since 1985.

In 2021, exacerbated by growing poverty and psychological imbalances resulting from the pandemic, Minotauro was overwhelmed with requests coming from parents, teachers, and social workers. The cooperative encountered difficulties, as the pandemic prevented it from organizing the traditional auctions it normally used to self-finance these services.

Thanks to the donation from Fondazione Guido Venosta, along with contributions from other private donors and companies, Minotauro’s free activities were able to continue for three years.
