Support to meet the food needs of children and families in extreme poverty across Italy, with l’Albero della Vita

Objectives and activities carried out, in summary

Food security was provided to the children and families involved in the “Varcare La Soglia” program of the L’Albero della Vita Foundation, as well as to other families in the same neighborhoods known directly by the Foundation’s local staff and/or referred by local Social Services, during April 2020.

Over 2,000 food baskets were distributed to 575 families in Milan, Legnano, Genoa, Naples, Catanzaro, and Palermo to support children living in absolute poverty—children already followed by a project that encompasses the entire family and focuses on parental education, guidance for training and employment for parents, and financial support for food and school supplies.
