Donation of medical equipment and devices for the fight against Covid-19 to Italian hospitals and doctors

When 2020 - 2021

Objectives and activities carried out, in summary

In 2020 and 2021, first through President Giuseppe Caprotti personally and later as part of the Fondazione Guido Venosta, efforts were made to support numerous hospitals and physicians in addressing the Covid-19 emergency. In addition to financing scientific research on swab tests and vaccines, and setting up Intensive Care Stations both in Italy and Brazil, the Foundation distinguished itself with the generous donation of medical equipment and devices—particularly to hospitals in Merate and Lecco, as well as many others.

Among these activities, the following stand out as directly supported by Giuseppe Caprotti:

  • In the province of Cremona, in Vailate, a donation was made through the Ospedale Caimi Onlus Foundation.
  • In Bergamo, a ventilator was donated to Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital.

Furthermore, the Foundation carried out additional donations, including:

  • A donation to Niguarda Hospital in Milan (a fibroscope and a defibrillator, through Urological Association Niguarda Onlus).
  • Donations aimed at providing hand sanitizer to various facilities, including Legnano Hospital, Multimedica in Sesto San Giovanni, Asst Nord Milano, and others.
  • A donation for the purchase of a Medibios disinfection system for the Associazione Medici Volontari Italiani Onlus.
  • A donation of 15,000 washable cotton masks to Save the Children Onlus.
  • Further donations and support to FIMMG.
