Spazi di Crescita – Journeys toward independence and inclusion

Objectives and Key Activities – Summary
Spazi di Crescita – Pathways to Independence and Inclusion is a project promoted by Spazio Aperto Servizi ETS with the support of the Fondazione Guido Venosta. It is an evolution of the Spazio Aperto program, launched in 2022 in Milan, which has already engaged nearly 2,000 people through the creation of four multifunctional community hubs – true points of reference for local neighborhoods.
After a first year of listening and assessing emerging needs, it became clear that there was a strong demand for more personalized pathways to help individuals and families achieve greater independence and overcome temporary or structural vulnerabilities.
Growth Spaces focuses on people in complex situations by offering targeted support in four key areas:
-
Educational and psychological support for adolescents and minors, through individual programs, educational groups, and academic tutoring;
-
Family support and disability inclusion, with discussion spaces for caregivers and inclusive activities for young people with disabilities;
-
Pathways to housing independence for vulnerable individuals, including financial, administrative, and relational support;
-
Tools for autonomy, such as driving courses, vocational training, and career mentoring.
At the heart of the project is the individual—not only their needs, but also their potential.
